Huntsmans father, businessman Jon Huntsman, Sr. is a billionaire and profoundly generous philanthropist who has given more than a billion dollars in donations over his lifetime. The senior Huntsman, a Morman, made his fortune through food packaging. According to Wikipedia, in 1974, Huntsman Container Corporation created the clamshell container for McDonalds Big Mac and developed other popular products, including the first plastic plates, bowls and fast-food containers.
Not a good week for second home owners. Sir Richard Bransons home in the Caribbean burned to the ground after being struck by apparant lightening while housing actress Kate Winslet and her children, and even Bransons children, enjoyed the famous spread that has housed Oprah, among other VIPs, on a private island in the British Virgin Islands. Winslet carried Bransons mother to safety in her arms, bless her. Then Hurricane Irene is pounding the east coast from the tip of Floridas east coast on up the Atlantic seaboard.
