Masters of the 3D tool

mydecos pack of community members have varying degrees of know-how and expertise when it comes to our 3D room planner and they often share their tips in the forum. The 3D room planner is an innovative tool that lets anyone, be they interior designer, student or housewife, play around and create their dream room in 3D. I like to think of it as a virtual try before you buy with home furnishings, decor, and even architecture.

I am completely novice when it comes to room planning and decoration that is why I am here looking for some advice. I am in a process of buying a newly build property and its master bedroom layout, well let’s say is not the best. I have been scratching my head for few days now and not sure how and where to place furniture. Attached picture has wall measurements and windows. The section cut from a side is actually en-suite.

Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have any advice for Art? Looking at his floorplan above, what are the best places for his master bed, wardrobe, chest, rug, and even furniture like a chaise longue, ottoman, chandelier If you have some tips please let him know by posting a reply in his Newbie looking for advice forum post.

I can advise using mydecos relatively new addition to the 3D room planner the room wizard! From the 3D room planner page you can start designing your room in 3D and choose the room wizard option. This will kick-start the design process for you by creating a room with five items of furniture that are key to that area of the house. Following the step-by-step prompts on screen, you can:

1. Choose a room (Living room, bathroom, dining room, kitchen, bedroom) 2. Select a floorplan template thats similar to yours

3. Paint your walls (be brave, ditch the magnolia!) 4. Go modern or stay classic with your design style

Your new room will appear within seconds and feature five products that are suitable for your room and style. mydeco provides the helping hand here, and you can pop in more furniture and accessories, add wallpaper and even extend the walls and alter the layout. Wizard!
